Extended battery does help but I still have trouble on busy days running out of juice by 6 or 7 pm. It is almost imperceptibly bigger than the standard battery, this is good because I can still use my Case mate cover, but its bad because I rather they gone a bit bigger and gave me a few more hours of life. Man Droid 3 is a major battery hog.

I really wanted this to be worth it, but after having ti for a few weeks, I can't say it is. I use my phone heavily during the day, both bluetooth for my headphones and wifi on my school's network, not to mention recording lectures, listening to music between classes, texting, etc. I had the standard battery, but was barely making it to 5 pm everyday. I got this thinking I might at least make it through my 6 pm class, but no, I get maybe an extra 30 minutes on average. If you are getting this for the supposed extended use, don't do it. Just get a second regular battery (cheaper) and carry it with you, which is basically what I have wound up doing, except one of my 2 batteries is "extended".
Granted, you will probably get more time out of yours if you are not as heavy a user as I am, so it might be worth it for light users. (Although, if you have a smartphone like the D3 and you're a light user, you're missing the point and not making the most of your phone, but I digress.) But I can't imagine the ratio of "extra" time you get will be much better than mine, and you'll save some money just buying a second regular battery instead of trying to get more time out of an extended. Swapping batteries sucks, but not as much as having your phone go dead.
